All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”
I can’t believe this thread has went on for 2 pages and no one has mentioned Beth by KISS. For shame.
We were making sure that the phrase Beth by KISS was not trademarked by Gene & Paul.
Jenny by Sleater-Kinney is another one I just remembered.

Hail, Hail!!!
Apparently The Sweet, (god I love Ballroom Blitz, not to mention Fox on the Run!) had a song called Jeanie.
They even spelt it correctly!
The nights in this lonely world
Makes this life for me
Seem like an empty shell
But I'll wait till time arrives
Then we'll be together and I'll realize
The time I spend
Just feeling blue
Is all worth while
Now I'm with you, Jeanie
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
The sails on the open sea
Try to take the thought of you
Away from me
The blue visions in my eyes
Constantly remain
And make me realize
The dreams I spend
Just looking through
Seem all worth while
Now I'm with you, Jeanie
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
And now through the morning light
Traces of your voice
That echo warm me night
You appear and the sun will rise
Reaching out to me
And then I'll realize
The time I spend
Just feeling blue
Is all worth while
Now I'm with you, Jeanie
Yeah, the time I spend
Just feeling blue
Is all worth while
Now I'm with you, Jeanie

ROSIE, Come Out Tonight!!!!
I just saw Bruce in the USA (cover band) at the Cat's Cradle last week and they closed with this. There was only about a hundred people there but me and two girls got wasted and got everybody jumping up and down for the entire song, which is like 10 minutes. It was maybe the most fun 10 minutes ever, not to mention Born to Run which was played before.
