It seems Meg has come down with a case of anxiety and the Stripes are cancelling all US dates for the fall!

FUCK!!

I have tickets bought from e-Bay! How the hell am I supposed to get my money back!

I'm sure that her problems are serious and I wish her well, but I think it is time for Jack to find a new drummer!!!:(

well according to pollstar.com they have only scrapped 3 dates - two of those dates were the Austin this weekend. So, it looks like Muse has been given the Head lining spot Sat Night, and guess their Stubbs BBQ show for Sun is just scrapped for now. This blows cause first they were due to play 2 shows at ACL and play right before Bob Dylan on Sun. Then that date was replaced by a show at Stubbs which I got no notice about (my own fault) but it doesn't matter cause it's a bust. Glad I didn't spend that money on the shows or the trip but I did want to see the Stripes only Texas show(s). Well the Sat night one! Just curious, whe did you hear the whole tour is axed?

I wish it weren't true, but I guess it is as official as it can be.

Has anyone ever had to get their money back after buying tix off ebay? I will try to contact the seller, hopefully I can get my money back but I really don't know.

I think I'm having some anxiety issues now hearing this news :( Having tickets to 2 shows really hurts.
Maybe I'll have to get some tickets to see Uncle Neil to ease this blow.

  • Sucks. I was really excited to see them next week... had heard such awesome things about their live show too
  • I was really looking forward to the two Seattle shows. I've been excited about it for months.

Sounds like Meg basically had a nervous breakdown. I hope she gets better soon. I know this band wouldn't make a decision like this if it wasn't something serious.
Common sense is not so common.
  • They are still coming to the UK then?

There is still good seats at the Newcastle show, I was contemplating it.

usually the original buyer of the tix will get a credit to their credit card automatically. at least thats what happened once for me when i had a show canceled. unless the dates are going to be rescheduled.

  • Wow, that really sucks for those who were going. Ah well, maybe some new Raconteurs sooner then?

yeah, but theyre gonna rape us for all the charges. a pair of tix for chicago was $100, but the tickets were only $36 each, which means I'll lose $28 to TicketMaster FOR NOTHING.

on the ticketmaster website it says they will automatically refund the ticket plus all fees (except shipping fees-like if you paid extra for overnight shipping).

i would contact the ebay seller and see what they are willing to do.

i had tickets to both seattle shows. sucks. at least i got to see them in vancouver.
  • Man...I don't want to have to mess with getting my refund. UGH.
This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper

  • It could depend on what your auctions said. Usually there is a disclaimer sayin if the show is cancelled a full refund will be given.

Screw you man! I can understand that you don't like them, but what the hell difference does it make to you whether they tour or not?! Believe it or not there are a ton of people that DO like them, and a lot of us here spent good money on tix!
