DIP - Record (feat. Nick Didia)

Okay, this is a real long shot:
A few years ago when I ordered one of Shawn Smith's albums from a label I think was called 818 records, I received another CD free of charge. They band was called 'Dip' and the album title was 'Record'. It featured Nick Didia, Tony Reyes and Ritchie Rubini (quite an impressive line up of producers/engineers,etc) but I've never found out any information about the band or the release, have no idea why I was given it for free and know nobody else who has it or has heard it.
I hadn't listened to it for some time but dusted it off again recently and it's a pretty darn good album, still sounds quite fresh today.
So my question is - does anybody else own this/know of it/like it/know what the heck I'm on about?!
