i actually think that howl is the best of the three. to each his own i guess, but 'howl' is the last album that really grabbed my attention from the first time i heard it, and continued to stay in my cd player for months (aside from avocado). i dunno, i just love that sound a lot more than the self titled record and take them on....
then again maybe i just need to listen to those two more often.
I only have Take Them On, On Your Own and Howl and I must say that my favorite between the two is, by far, Howl. Take Them On just feels too "samey" to me by the end of the album.
I think we're seeing them in May...anyone seen them? what's their live show like?
very solid, they sound great. you'll have a good time no doubt.
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike
"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone
"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
so what's everyone think about this now that's it's officially released? i picked it up this evening, but don't have the time to listen until tomorrow.

i would say its a combo of all three, taking the best parts from each one.

I went to their show without ever having heard a song and I was blown away.
Baby 81 is their best album ever, beating BRMC as far as I am concerned.
I love them... going to see them on June 4
I'd say much closer to the first two, especially the first.
i'm not quite ready to go there yet, but give me another week or two and i might be right there with you.

I had a few weeks with it already
so have i, look when i started the thread
