yes, they are great, but the GREATEST supergroup... nah. I got to give that honor to Mad season. Ireally love the Burden Brothers too, but don't think I could call it the greatest... It is just awesome to see Vaden Todd Lewis (the toadies) and Taz Bentley early rev horton heat drummer (90-95 or 96) in a band together.
    I do love oysterhead though.

  • they are great but you really get it when you watch them live, The Star power and talent is unmatched. Saw them at Bonnaroo and stood about ten rows back on Trey's side. They played a fucking awesome set then super jam was wicked with Trey, gordon and the Duo with Phil Lesh on the deepend .you can download the torrent anywhere.

personally, i would choose the traveling willbury's as the greatest "supergroup" ever. no one holds a candle to the amount of talent in that band. but i do like oysterhead, and wish they'd get together for another album.

I don't know what you mean when you say talent because as musicians/players, nobody in the wilbury's holds a candle to trey or les.

Oh hell yeah, I cannot believe I forgot that group, but I figured we were talking newer groups since Oysterrhead really is not that old, but yes, The Traveling wilburys would have to get the honor hands down. There are two traveling wilburys videos on my myspace, so if you want add yourself and I'll approve you if you want to watch them (they came from youtube.com).
