East Coast Music

Why is it that preformers such as Billy Joel & Bruce Springsteen can sell out multiple shows in row on the east coast but when they go out west they can't even sell out one?

Are there any other musical act like this?

I know both are from the east coast but i think a band like pearl jam or the red hot chili peppers(not to compare) can sell out just as many shows on the east as they could out west.

Is there a reasoning why west coast people don't enjoy Springsteen and Joel as much as on the east?

I would like to see proof that Springsteen can't sell out anywhere he chooses to play.

Billy Joel hasn't had a hit since he ran his car into a tree. Makes sense that he's not packing 'em in...but Springsteen is still turning out damned good records if you dig his style...which I don't.

RHCP and PJ are rock and roll bands that haven't been around since the early 70s.
