The bands that are really going off in London Right Now
The Infadels "we are not the infadels" is the album, top tunes include Jagger 67', Love Like Semtex & Can't Get Enough
The Crimea "Tragedy Rocks" is tha album, they been playing songs from this one live for 3 years, top tunes "Lottery Winners On Acid", "White Russian Galaxy" & "Miserabilist Tango" Sounds like (the bends era) radiohead, then go upbeat.
The Dead Kids (unsigned), Debut single out, "Dead Wife Pills"/"XRay 10 july, but if your about in london check them out.
Throat - Micheal Frankel (formerly of Sona Fariq)
Drums - Seb America (formerly of Trans Am)
Bass - George McFall (formerly of Roots Manuva)
The other members are secret or still attempting to prove themselves worthy not sure which yet. They got a sound of thier own its a sort of screaming electro multi genre noconforming genius.
press release follows Dead Kids, meanwhile, are the band that no one knows about. They do things their own way. With no website, no MySpace profile and, until April 2006, no public performances.
Carrying a clutch of dark disco songs and fierce with intent Dead Kids are Mike Frankel, George McFall and Seb America. Their sound is simultaneously retrogressive and futuristic.
Musical reference points are fleeting. Some suggest they’re a 21st century PiL on pills, Suicide on uppers or Michael Jackson fucking Devo in a sweaty basement while slugging on ‘Jesus juice’. Debut single Dead Wife Pills / xrays is out on 7” vinyl soon on Lavolta Records.
