cool, i love the strokes but don't really wanna see tom or have to pay the most likely insane tix prices...they were cheap when i saw just the strokes

do you have any info? the strokes site doesn't have anything other than overseas listed
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

I googled and came up with this:

    http://www.musicbox-online.com/tour.html

You have to scroll down a bit, but it's there.

I went to the hifi-buys ampitheatre website, it didn't say anything about it, though...

If the tickets don't cost too terribly much I'm there!
The time has gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say...

I've seen Petty 3 times in the last 4 years, and he's been really good about keeping ticket prices low. Especially an amphitheatre setting like the venue in Atlanta, lawn seats should be under $50.

While I wish I could've seen him and Pearl Jam together (2 of my fave 10) I am psyched that he's playing Gainesville. While it's 3-4 hours from me, in addition to being the only show in Florida he's playing, it is his hometown and a place I used to live and enjoy, so it has the makings of a great show. The Strokes opening is an added plus. Now I just gotta get tickets.

Oh, and Pearl Jam needs to come to Florida too. Followed by Jimmy Buffett. Those are the three tours I want to see this summer, and all were originally skipping Florida, until Petty added a Gainesville date just last week.
