just received the new dvd of this show

seeing the videos from this show and subsequently watching the whole thing, made me a u2 fan...i had heard boy and october but the first album i bought was war because of this show...been a fan ever since :)

    Exact same thing here.

    I got the dvd last weekend and the memories of the first time I saw it on MTV came flooding back. People can trash the current state of U2 all they want, but UABRS was musical history in the making.

    I have had it on VHS. I saw them on the War Tour in Norfolk VA the first show on that tour. Man what an experience that was.

    This was after I saw clips earlier that year at The US Festival 1983 checkout the crazy antics of BONO. Manager Paul McGuiness must have been having a heart attack when he pulled this stunt. I loved it.
