A new documentary about Kurt Cobain will be screened at next month's Toronto Film Festival, it has been announced.
The film has been directed by A.J. Schnack and consists of around 25 hours of previously unheard interviews with the Nirvana star carried out by Michael Azerrad.
About A Son uses Azerrad's interviews with Cobain alongside footage of the three cities Cobain spent much of his younger years in--Aberdeen, Olympia, and Seattle--according to Gigwise.
It's described as a "dream-like account of Cobain's own successes and failures, thoughts and experiences, allowing the audience unprecedented intimacy with a legendary figure in popular culture."
It is currently unclear if the documentary will receive an international release. The Toronto Film Festival takes place between September 7-16.

grew up as a loser kid no one liked
spent most of his time listening to the Beatles (who didnt back then?)

he wrote some great songs (that were supposedly inspired by the Pixies yet sounded nothing like)
married a bitch
OD'd a few times
fathered a child
