You ever have a piece of music . . .

just hit you out of the blue? I'm listening to my collection on shuffle and John Coltrane's "Equinox" comes on. I close my eyes and the music just enveloped me. What a great feeling! Anyone know what I'm talkin' about?

    Definitely. For me... it's usually when I forget how good the band is... then one of my favorite songs comes on by them and I'm just overwhelmed by this feeling of how awesome this piece of music is.
    If I could, think I would give in.

    yes, a piece of music hit me really hard the other day. I took the piss out of my brother so he threw "U got the look" by Prince on 12" vinyl at my forehead.

    yes, that is cool. I'll have to check out that Coltrane.

    I had it happen to me last saturday with song 4, 5, and 6 on U2's Joshua Tree. I havent listened to it in at least 7-8 years, then suddenly RED HILL MINING TOWN is in my face in all places but the damn shower. I dont even know where it came from. Maybe the litle drops of water in the shower formed a note similar to music which triggered it in my head. Who knows.

    My favorite album of all time! It's cool when music just hits you like that. :)

    Man, that happened to me with the exact same song just last week! In fact that whole album is beautiful. God bless John Coltrane.

    I forgot I had it. I got it from my late friend and it just came on while shuffling. I just sat there for 8 minutes in a entirely different place.
