  • UPDATE from my Sound vs Silence contact:

"We had a little trouble with the templates for both the reissues. We are hoping to start the pressing by next Monday [Aug 18]. Shield of Thorns and Live at the Point are being processed on iTunes right now and should be up in a few days."

EDIT: moments after posting this I was informed that Live at the Point has been processed and is now available on iTunes

I've only heard "Wrapped in my Memory" from Shawn Smith and I love that song. I'm definitely interested to hear what else he has to offer. Any recommendations?

I'm going to be putting a music player on The Collective which will have a really nice sampling of music from his various projects, but a great place to start for his solo material - especially if you like "Wrapped in my Memory" - is the Shield of Thorns album (where the song is from) and the new album, The Diamond Hand. If you like what you hear, it'll be easy to work backwards and find lots of older material to love!

You can check out samples of Diamond Hand on iTunes now and Shield will be up soon.........I'm hoping to have my music player up by this weekend (maybe even late tonight).

Shield of Thorns is definitely his best album. There's some gorgeous songs on that album.

Wrapped In My Memory -> Full Moon Over Dallas is an absolutely beautiful combo.

I'm having a hard time getting into The Diamond Hand. It's a bit different from his previous albums.
