I dunno, something like 1500-1700 miles. We plan on taking three days to get there.

    So true.....

I was looking at this year's lineup and looking back on past year's and it really is the best festival around these days IMO.

See everyone there. I'm leaving Tom Petty early to get a good seat for the MMJ show. I'll have a PJ shirt. Just look for me. Brown hair with a little blond in it with a PJ shirt standing up front for MMJ>

You took a taxi from BNA (Nashville) to Manchester, TN?

    What did that cost you?

I didnt take a taxi, though I saw people talking about going outside and looking for a taxi. since it is 60 miles away I imagine it would be about 100 bucks at least, or maybe $200? They should extend the hours of operation for the airport shuttle, other than that the shuttle was great, fast service(1 hour to grounds drop you off about 500 feet from camp grounds) and they bring multiple busses at once(which wasnt clear from their website, so its not like if you miss one you have to wait an hour).

one reason to take the bus btw is they take this funky back door entrance through a road in the woods, apparently it avoids a lot of traffic etc...

Wow yeah... Bonnaroo was amazing. Radiohead (which I am guessing did for everyone else) extremely blew me away. The most amazing concert I ever will see... unless I see them again. Actually, the whole experience of the festival was awesome, I didn't think I'd get that tired too... definitely underprepared for that. Honestly though, if you can go next year, do it, it'll be the best time you ever have had.
If I could, think I would give in.

Did anyone see Umphrey's McGee/the Disco Biscuits set? I had a terrible migraine and couldn't attend the shows.

I saw McGee/Biscuits except for first 45 minutes when I was at the My Morning Jacket tent(which was good, but I split early).
McGee/Biscuits what a fantastic 4 hours of music though, and I never saw either band live before! Like I mentioned the jams on Pink Floyd stuff, the light show, the crowd, it was all just magic, they definitely made a lot of new fans.

I forgot to mention few other reasons to go to Bonnaroo(which is not mentioned on their web site): you get a free magazine with bios on all the bands, you get a free cd-sampler, you can pick up a free daily newsletter/paper with reviews articles etc published by Relix Magazine, plus besides the stages the little beer tents had their own live bands playing sets, plus all the arts/crafts stands etc, like the fire show, the glass making show, the circus!

Yeah, I've never seen McGee, but I did see the Biscuits at Rams Head Live and ohmygod what an awesome 2 hours... seriously, everyone just dances and the first set they put on was like they were the opening band, just jamming, and then the last part of the set they fucking added techno and just rocked it. Amazing.
