Let's start a discussion about Jack. Who else oves Jack on here. My ultimate show would be Jack opening for Pearl Jam. Thoughts, comments?

Yea, I like listening to his music when its warm and to chill out.

Any weather is good weather to listen to Jack. He da man.
  • My wife really enjoys his music, but Jack's voice is a little too soft for me. I definitely think some of his songs are good, but I can't take much of his vocals.

Good shit. No matter what the season, I don't mind listening to some Jack. I'm with you though, having Jack and Pearl Jam on the same bill would be quite awesome

I would love to see him at a small club. I should get one of his albums. Any recommendations?

I am a big fan of Jack Johnson. Great way to relax and wind down. I saw him in 05 in Santa Barbara and I was really surprised at how energetic his shows are.

Alot of college girls at his shows, so that's another reason to go.

They did 2 songs together in 2003. Soon Forget and Betterman. Betterman was great cause Jack started it instead of Eddie.

Was that at a PJ show, a Jack show, or a festival they were both at?

Not looking to get flamed here, but I've tried for a couple of years, listened to his cd's, been lobbied to give it another try, and I can't get into his music. I think it's the whispering voice. Maybe it's too subtle. Decent rhythms and acoustic guitar, even lyrics are pretty good, but vocals must be a personal taste.

Again, I've tried. And I love reefs with bottle openers, crocs, beach music, reggae, the whole scene. If I could live and die on Siesta Key, I would.

I wanna like his music, but can't bring myself to do it. Anyone else as experienced this?
I love to turn you on

I'm sure seeing Jack Johnson singing with Ed would change my opinion, or seeing him perform live with a boatload of college girls in the crowd!!! I wonder how high the sound board crew have to turn his mic up though.
I love to turn you on

Man, I love all the Jack cd's. My recommandation, if you live in warm weather, take a six pack or 12 pack or joint, whatever your pleasure, wait for the sun to begin to set, sit outside some place, a deck-the grass, whatever, and put in anyone of his cd's. If it's cold where you live, same scenerio, just inside I guess. I don't know. Jack just may not be your thing.
