For Primus I agree with Seas of cheese ... a must have. I would also recommend Brown album and then Pork soda and maybe antipop after that.

I only have one Buckethead album- Colma and just be aware that it is strictly instrumentals. I like the album, but I just got to be in certain moods to listen to it. Have not heard his sophemore album yet.

Pork Soda will always be my favorite Primus cd. Buckethead land 2 is a good one for that band, but again, is weird, you have to be in a certain mood.

Oysterhead is another band that you might like if you like these two bands. Is almost a mix betweent he two, but les is the bassist.

Good call on Oysterhead- forgot about that one! Bucket head played Guitar on that album, right? I can't remember and then it was Les Claypool on Bass and stuart Copeland from (the police) on drums I think.

    oysterhead:
guitar and vocals-trey anistasio (former phish guitarist/vocalist)
    bass and vocals-les
    drums-stuart copeland

also, check out les claypool and the frog brigade. i saw them back in '00 and they did a smoking cover of 'tomorrow never knows' by the beatles.
