I love pretty much everything that these guys come out with, but their earlier albums are the best

This is how I would rank them:

    1. Home
    2. Sevendust
    3. Animosity
    4. Alpha
    5. Seasons
    6. Next

They also have a live album that isn't bad: Southside Double-wide (Acoustic Live from Atlanta, GA)

They also have a Greatest Hits album out and a new one that has a bunch of live stuff and a few new tunes on it (Retrospective, Vol. 2)

I've seen these guys live a few times and ever got to meet them after a show on their last tour- one of my favorite bands to see live and they were very cool after the show.

  • Such a good band, I haven't had the chance to catch them live yet as everytime they tour over here they always seem to cancell.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

Aw, that sucks. The good thing is though, they do tour A LOT, so your chances of seeing them is pretty good. I've seen them 4 times and have had plenty of other chances to see them- and I live in a city where no one big ever comes to :(

I've seen them a few times and they're always very high energy. I like a lot of their old stuff, but also really like Alpha, which came out last year.

I know they're doing a Spring headlining tour, and they they're going to be part of the Mayhem tour this Summer with Disturbed, Slipnot, Five Finger Death Punch and a couple of other bands. So there should be some opportunities for people to catch them this year.

I agree with LukinFan on Home being their best album. I'd put Animosity at #2 and Alpha at #3. The greatest hits album is also pretty good, though diehard 7D fans will tell you that it was a lame move by TVT Records.

I haven't seen any official dates yet, but on Blabbermouth it was posted that after they hit AUS they'll be back for a spring headliner before going out on Mayhem which starts July 9th in Seattle.

  • Didn't know much about them until I saw them at a festival in 2002......amazing!!! Bought all of their cds the next day and have been a fan ever since. Sadly, they don't get much airplay in the Toronto area....in southern Ontario we mostly only hear them on Buffalo stations.

I agree with LukinFan's album ranking.

They're streaming a song called Prodigal Son from their new album on their myspace page if anyone is interested.

So do I! Nice to hear Lajon being melodic. He's got a great voice. And Morgan always creates such intensity with his drumming.

    1. Animosity
    2. Sevendust
    3. Next
    4 Seasons
    5. Home
    6. Alpha

I'm not going to count the acoustic live album but would highly recommend it, I think it's one of the best acoustic live albums I've ever heard.
Also, it sounds like Chapter 7 is a return to form after expiramenting a bit on Alpha
Minneapolis 98, Chicago 00, San Fransisco 00, Fargo 03, Thunder Bay 05, St Paul 06 (night 2), Chicago 08 (EV) both nights
