Just wanted to say thanks to Ed. The timing of his tour is dead on perfect. The wheels got to turning when I saw Vancouver . Creative thinking , not a natural occurence for moi, ensued. I started with the 3 days in Vancouver , 4/1 to 4/3. I'm now up to a weeks vacation, 3/28 to 4/4, with six concerts and Mariners opening day. FUCKIN ' A !!!!!!!!

At long last I was able to pick up two tickets for Tuesday and one for Wednesday on the always fun Ticketmaster system. My Tuesday tickets are not together and I'm desperately trying to shift things around so that my girlfriend and I can at least be in the same section, without having to drop a lot more money to do so. I've got a seat in the right mezzanine and a seat in the center lower balcony on Tuesday. If anyone else is out there looking to shift some seats around via trade (and we're lucky enough to match up!) let me know.

    Thanks!

I have been a 10C member since 1995 and I too was shut out of getting tickets 10C tickets, I had San Diego in my basket and went to check out and the basket was empty! TM was a joke. I was really bumming until a friend suggested that I check out the ticket brokers. This is the first time I have considered using a broker and it was like this is your only choice to get into the show, I am not proud of the fact that I had pay 4 to 5 times the face value (and the extra money NOT going to the band), but since money was the only thing keeping me back from going on the April Fools tour, I went for it.

    1 EV ticket 04/15 STUBHUB $300
    1 EV ticket 04/16 STUBHUB $330
United RT from DIA to S.D. $265
    Cheap San Diego Hotel $300
(Since I don't know anyone in San Diego and with the extra costs in tickets I have to stay at a dive hotel.)

Two nights with EV in a small venue(capacity 1915) you can't place a price on that!

I just watched Liam Finn's set at SXSW on DirecTVs 101 (love this station) ...

I really can't wait to see him open for EV.

His set was great ... he's like a hopped up happier, Elliot Smith.

Lots of looping as he plays pretty much every instrument ... has a sidekick female singer ... it was really outstanding. Going to snap up his album tomorrow.

And yeah, I know, it's Neil Finn's son ... just never heard his son's stuff.

One correctrion ... this wasn't even supposed to be his set, guess he was called in last minute to fill in for the Lemonheads as Evan Dando was sick ... for a short term notice, makes it even more fantastic.

one more edit ... Matt Pinfield just called them "New Zealand's answer to the White Stripes" .... that's a stretch ... but, I can see how the comparison is made in some of his/their songs.
