It's different...i kinda like it, but don't really know...its ok.

Watch the whole thing, cause at first it seems like it'll be lame.

Her voice is pretty strong tho.

    I was there. Allison is a good friend of mine. She used to post at Synergy under the name "midnight syren".

    She used to be pretty shy in front of a crowd (despite her immense talent), but that's changed as she's grown as a performer and songwriter over the years. She recently wrapped up her latest Canadian tour, and toured the UK & parts of Europe last fall. Her new album will be out by years' end, too.

    Not everyone's cup of tea - well, not around these parts, anyway; she blends a lot of styles, though, so chances are if you take the time to peruse the audio samples, you'll find something you like. If you're into Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Counting Crows, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen, chances are you'll dig Alley.

    Sorry, reminds me too much of Tori Amos' Smells Like Teen Spirit. Didn't sound like that song very much at all but has the lyrics of the song. Didn't like it really.

    I hate to be unkind, especially to someone who so obviosly has alot of talent....but something about that cover didn't feel right. Perhaps because it's one of my top 5 PJ tunes and it has alot of personal meaning for me, I guess I'm just not ready to hear any variation on it. But that girl sure can sing!
    Want to be enlightened, like I want to be told the end.

    Started of very bad but once she got through a chorus she was on track.

    and judging by the performance it wasn't really rehearsed...

    looked like something she stumbled upon jamming earlier that day.

    i bet real Bob Marley fans would cringe at Pj's Redemption Song if you're gonna think that way.

    Jams are the best.. they're the most honest, which that performance certainly was.

    haha. No, it's not that she sucks, but she should have covered something else. Release is a song that, as far as I'm concerned, can only belong to PJ as it will never get better than Ed singing it.

    nah it's cool.. if anyone covered Nothingman or Off He Goes i probably couldn't bring myself to listen to it either.

    I agree with this guy. Nothing against the singer, but Release is one of those songs that just doesn't feel worthy in anyone else's voice.
