i listened to the hicks song first, then i clicked on the myspace link and my computer was being slow and it took awhile to load. Then it started playing and i was trying to figure out why instead of the audioslave song it was replaying the hick's song, Then i realized IT WAS THE AUDIOSLAVE SONG playing i just couldn't tell them apart.

The drumming is different, phrasing is different, arrangement is different (uh, sax ?!), vocal texture is different, I can go on and on...

Similar genre (old funk), similar feel, but other than that, meh.
