Anyway, I liked both albums from them. The first was awesome and the second was pretty good. I'm really anticipating their next one.

i like both albums. would LOVE to see them live. I actually perfer them to Soundgarden (i know, i know, i should be shot for saying this). i'm basically into the band because i loved Rage big time. Tom Morello is a god among men

Yeah I like Audioslave, whilst they aren't quite in the league of Soundgarden or RATM, they are still better than 99% of mainstream rock bands out there. I'm hoping the next album is a bit darker and varied.

i agree with everything you said.

    but..

the more i listen to AS i think i actually like them better than RATM in a lot of ways.

they have a much larger range of emotion, which was always Rage's flaw. (perhaps their only flaw).

I love Audioslave! I got to see them do that mini-set on Hollywood Blvd. for the Jimmy Kimmel show when I was still living in CA...I've been dying to see them ever since.

Yup, I agree. Can't wait for the new album. Hopefully they'll come to Ireland again on tour.
Also, I hope they ditch the Rage songs. It's just not right.

Liked the first, didn't think much of the second. Looking optimisically forward to the Revelations. Read something about it being a cross between Zeppelin and Earth, Wind and Fire. Not so sure about what that will bring about.

Should have known people would be comparing AS to Soundgarden and Rage.

Don't know why people are still doing that. Rage was rap / rock, so no comparison, Soundgarden was rock but totally different style.

I love AS by the way! :D

I do love audioslave. Great rock, great live band. However, im starting to get the feeling that they're a bit 'samey'. With audioslave you know what you're getting...theres no surprises. Im hoping that the 3rd album is completly different to what any of them have done before. But I guess thats to be expected with such a distinct sound from Morello.

Enough said....looking forward to the new release! And more importantly...the tour :D
