I'm tired
So tired
I'm tired of having sex

I'm spread
So thin
I don't know who I am

Monday night I'm making Jen
Tuesday night I'm making Lynn
Wednesday night I'm making Catherine
Oh why can't I be making love come true?

I'm beat
Beet red
Ashamed of what I said

I'm sorry
Here I go
I know I'm a sinner but I can't say no

Thursday night I'm making Denise
Friday night I'm making Therese
Saturday night I'm making Lousie
Oh why can't I be making love come true?

Tonight
I'm down on my knees
Tonight
I'm begging you please
Tonight
Tonight please
Oh why can't I be making love come true?

Solid band. Went downhill after Pinkerton though IMO.

couldnt agree more. absolutely horrible live band.
  • I'm pumped for their next record as long as it doesn't suck as much as Make Believe. Weezer is one band I've been wanting to see live for a long time. Blue album and Pinkerton are absolutely great, Maladroit is not quite as good IMO but is still a solid album.

disagree completely. While their last two albums sucked, I saw them in 2002 and they rocked pretty hard. Blue album and Pinkerton are two of the best albums to come out of the 90's, and the shows I saw drew heavily from those albums, and thus fucking rocked.

Thanks for all you've shown us
    This is how we feel

    Come sit next to me
    Pour yourself some tea
    Just like grandma made
    When we couldn't find sleep
    Things were better then
    Once but never again
    We've all left the den
Let me tell you bout it

Choo choo train left right on time
A ticket costs only your mind
The driver said, "hey man we go all the way"
Of course we were willing to pay

    They're fresh out of batteries
    But they're still making noise

    Now the tank is dry
    Now this wheel is flat
    And you know what else?
    Guess what I received

    Words of deep concern
    From my little brother

The dozer will not clear a path
The driver swears he learned his math

    The workers are going home

I like Blue album and Pinkerton (their best no doubt about it), Hell, I even thought Make believe had some decent songs.

I heard Maladroit which was a horrible album, A friend who gave me a ride home played it all the way home from college one year.

As far as live, it was a pretty good show actually. I was there for Foo fighters though, but Weezer played a pretty damn good set. They only played 2 songs from Pinlerton though, but the majority of their 17 song set came from Blue album and Make believe. they did play "Island in the sun" (Rivers solo and accoustic), "Hash pipe" and"Don't let go" from Green album.

Pretty decent show, but in all honesty, I never would have checked them out live if they hadn't opened for Foos. Now I may consider it. The Foos however ate weezer for lunch, no way Weezer could top that performance, and yes, I'm biased because the Foos are one of my favorite live acts.

I've always liked this band and unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to see them live.
Blue album and pinkerton are masterpieces. The following albums were a bit disaointing but I've liked make believe, which is, IMO, better than maladroit and the green album.
    2006: Antwerp, Paris
    2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
    2009: Rotterdam, London
    2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
    2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
    2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm

    I can't say no
    So afraid
    Of letting go
    If there's something
    I can grab
    You can bet
    I'll pay the tab

    Counting all the flowers
    Waste the precious hours
I need to find some peace

    All these problems
    On my mind
    Make it hard
    For me to think
    There is no way
    I can stop
    My poor brain
    Is gonna pop

    And I don't have a purpose
    Scattered on the surface
I need to find some peace

    And all the broken tethers
    We can bring together
I need to find some peace

I need to find some peace

    My favorite off that album.

When I call you put them all on hold
And say to me that you'd do anything
and all I can do is say that

    I haven't much
I can give you in return
    Only my heart
And a promise not to turn
    I'll sing to you

    I love pinkerton.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

I will never understand why the song Beverly Hills exists. It is just so stupid to me. Not just the fact that the music is boring, because usually good lyrics can make up for it, but that song is just stupid all around.

How does a great musician/lyricist like Rivers Cuomo go from My Name is Jonas and the like to this?

I don't have a problem with beverly Hills. Lyrics are not the best, but it's kind of funny. and I like the broken rythm of the songs and how Rivers sings on it.

It's The Sweater Song with a cooler solo and reversed lyrics (being uncool and not caring to being uncool and wishing you were). Clever, seeing that both are popular. I like it enough.

I always though that The Sweater Song had a pretty interesting little riff and I liked the whole sweater-analogy. I find it very different from BH's unoriginal 3-chord progression and really dumbed down lyrics.

Oh well, I wish we could agree :( :D
