Glad to see that Snow Patrol are doing well in the US charts. They are one of my favourite bands after Pearl Jam. I urge everyone to take a listen to their new album 'Eyes Open'. Chasing Cars is one of the most amazing tracks I have ever heard.

I'm going to have to agree with you on that one, it's an awesome album. I think "Open Your Eyes" is my favorite on the CD, but "Chasing Cars" is just epic...

I just saw them when they were in Boston...not a bad show, actually...

  • If I hear 'Chasing Cars' again I think I'll have to kill myself. It's the most overplayed, overpublicised song I have ever heard.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

It's a fucking horrible, drone of a song, the guy has such a fucking monotonous voice it makes me want to stick pens in my eyes.
    "I am a doughnut." (live - Berlin, Germany - 11/03/96)

"Behave like rock stars - not like the President." (live - Noblesville, IN - 8/17/98)

"Yeah, I was gonna learn to play it (Breath) but somebody slipped me a bottle of viagra and was busy doing something else six times last night" (live - New York, NY - 9/10/98)

lucky for me i dont listen to radio so chasing cars hasnt been overplayed for me. i didnt even know it was a single. i prefer final straw and the album before that, but all their albums are solid. i saw them in chicago the other week and they incredible! they rocked so much harder live than they do on disc. it was the best show ive seen since pearl jam.

the new one isnt bad but it's taking it's time sinking in with me...
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

Snow Patrol are HORRIBLE when it comes to live shows, the lead singer just can't sing. I also don't like the "coldplay" direction they took on their latest album, the first one was better (though I didn't like it either besides one song called "Run").

They've got a few albums before final straw, 'when its all over we still have to clean up' and 'songs for polar bears'. mIght even have another, not sure.

I like final straw out of all the albums, found the new stuff to be a bit coldplay/keane-ish.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.
