oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

May he finally find the peace that eluded him in this world.

it´s a truly sad day for all of us, the pink floyd fans...just wanted to post this as a homage

Lime and limpid green the second scene
The fights between the blue you once knew
    Floating down the sound resounds
    Around the icy waters underground

Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon there on the run
Titanian, Neptune, Titan, stars can frighten

    Winding signs flap
Flicker flicker flicker flam pow pow
Stairways scare and death rules there
    Blindman limpid green the sound
Surrounds the icy waters on the

This is a sad day for Floyd fans. This would be a great time for Roger and David to patch things up and tour in Syd's honor.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

i'm very sorry to hear that. I'm a huge Syd fan. I've got his boxset of solo material and everything. very influential despite his short career in music.

another great thing about Syd's music I've always thought is that it's the kinda of stuff you can play for children. I know if I ever have kids I'll be spinning songs like Scarecrow and See Emily Play for them. he appeals to everyone from toddlers to stoned off their ass hippies.

Syd Barrett was a remarkable musician and it is a tragic shame that he expericenced such poor mental and physical health throughout his much cut-short life.

David and Roger both were amazed by Syd, much as his legacy carried on throughout Pink Floyd's music, as both tribute or inspiration.

Syd Barrett was truly a musician's musician, and it is tragic and extremely unfortunate that his life has been cut so short.

    RIP Syd.
