Great great cd. Angeldust is probably a bit better though. Still I love them both equally.

I disagree. For me, The Real Thing is so much better. Awesome album from start to finish.

I'm a massive Faith No More fan. The Real Things an awesome album but I probably too like Angel Dust a little better. That being said Surprise! You're dead is quite possibly my favourite FNM song.

Mike Patton is God... Mr Bungle are even better than Faith No More in my opinion

One of my favorite songs of all time is "The Real Thing". Great images in the lyrics. I love that album.

Falling to pieces and the title track are amazing

"Cherish the certainty of now, it kills you a bit at a time, cradle the inspiration, it will leave you writhing on the floor"
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I agree, I actually like king for a day best. I'd put angel dust second, Album of the year third. The real thing is good, but Faith No More Really took off artistically after , when Patton got more involved in the direction of the band.

Go pick up Peeping Tom, it's his latest project. Pretty good shit!

The video for From Out of Nowhere is what made me go get the record, and it was the first thing I heard from them, so it'll always hold a special place for me. But I think King For a Day... is probably my favorite overall album.

I just picked up Is This It? for the live version of As the Worm Turns from You Fat Bastards. I have all the records, but that one song, along with The Perfect Crime, was worth the $7 I spent.

Speaking of that live song, the DVD for You Fat Bastards, and Who Cares a Lot? just came out. If you don't have it yet, I'd highly recommend picking it up.
Statistically speaking, you're more likely to be pitied by Mr. T than you are to have feet.

yep i saw them live with metallica and guns n roses in dallas.texas 1992,man FaithNoMore is awesome live.,fucking awesome.

  • Faith No More is pretty badass. I bought Angeldust, though, and my brother says it's better than The Real Thing. I've yet to hear it, but Mid Life Crisis is great. Long live Faith No More.
  • I like Faith No More a lot but am not a huge fan. I'm sure if I had seen them live I would love them. The Real Thing is a good album, but of all the FNM songs I have ever heard, "A Small Victory" is absolutely my favorite

Faith No More were truly ahead of their time. If Pearl Jam and Nirvana were the death knoll for hair metal, Faith No More was the dude pulling the string.

I'm going through a huge Faith No More stage at the moment, they were awesome.
Does anyone have any decent bootlegs of theirs? I would love to get some live stuff

    Surprise! You're Dead!

    Yes, FNM rock eternally.

even the King for a Day album is still worth listening to from time to time.
