  • yeah man... i've always said that metal consists of their reign in blood riff. if that riff didn't exist... metal would've never really been metal. i have a very ecclectic taste... you'd be surprised what i have in my ipod... slayer will soon be one of them. i already have opeth along with the flaming lips and stevie wonder.

Hell FUCKING yeah... HUGE Slayer fan here.. Picked up South of Heaven in the summer of '88, haven't looked back since. Saw 'em up here at Qwest Events Center last summer. Kinda pissed this current tour isn't going through the northwest, but I'm sure they'll be back soon enough..

My two favorite bands: Slayer & Pearl Jam...

    Go figure..

you'd be surprised how many people are into them... not all of them dress in black... and these guys are actually very nice and well-educated. their lyrics are influenced by their beliefs and their opposition to religions and the bible. their lyrics don't literally mean that... duh!

yeah i kinda figured... i figured that about most every band that exists... you have to understand their mindset to appreciate their music. just like sonicyouth or the flaming lips... and even slayer or pantera.

i understand slayer and that type of tone isn't everyones cup of tea.
i can listen to em and get into it at time.
    other times i can't.
i don't hold slayer (or that tone of music) fans in contempt.
this style of music has a certain quality, to each their own.
they make music about darkness, religion, evil ppl, ect.
we all cant be flowers and butterflies.
i think slayer should put out a unplugged cd.
    that would be cool.

I never had an interest in Slayer. My buddy is into them big-time. Took me to see them at Kimmel a few months back....it was fucking awesome. I had a GREAT time, and PJ is my favorite band.

Maybe you're just too close-minded to enjoy something that doesn't tickle your fancy at first glance....ay, comrad?

Yeah. Sorry we can't all be pussified she-men who ride the Indie wave till I actually 'appreciate' the music.....pffft.

Rock is rock. Some of it is just a little louder. There's nothing wrong with Slayer.

slayer is one of the greatest ´´trash´´ metal band ever, they have shown consistency over the time and they have good songs: war emsemble, reign of blood, south of heaven, angel of death,etx...one thing i noticed of them, it´s the fact that after 10 or 15 minutes of heard them i get tired of, they seemed too repetitive after some songs....

i know they´re trash but some changes in rithms, times, would be better for their music....

Is that supposed to be witty, or do you genuinely not know that it's thrash metal...lol
