What's your favorite Cure album? I would have to say mine would have to be Pornography. I first listened to that album when I was a kid in school. It was the first Cure album I ever bought. I think it was somewhere around 1982 or so. Man, am I old!

i like disintigration and wish. does anyone else have join the dots (b-sides)?
i have it but don't listen to it that much.
Same here. I have it but don't listen that much to it. I own more albums from this band than any other band. I don't have Mixed Up or their recent self titled album yet. I got into them 6-7 years ago when I started college when I went through my classic alternative (Cure,Smiths,Depeche,U2,Psych Furs,Police,Duran Duran, etc.) phase. Limp Bizkit and Backstreet Boys just didn't do it for me back then. :(
Does anyone else have Carnage Visors on tape like I do?
Kiss Me (3X) is my favorite since it mixes their Pornography sound and their poppier Head On The Door sound with 70-80 minutes of sonic greatness.

Yeah man the Cure are amazing. Only been into em a short time, but I got hooked.
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'
I freakin' love the Cure and would love to see them live someday. My friend picked me up Mixed Up and Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me up at a garage sale for $2 a piece. What a great find. I love Mixed Up, but my favorite would have to be Disintegration. Their latest self titled one is pretty sweet, too!! Good thread! Much love for the Cure here!
I love Cure cover versions, I found some chick on Soulseek who like had about ten versions of every single Cure song, it were great. Sadly I lost track of her halfway through downloading
I got the only show they will play this summer.. as they are making a new album
It was at the Albert Hall.. june 1st i think
They played 38 songs!
Couldn't go :(
bloodflowers, disintegration or the self title are the top 3
Oh my god. I neeeeeeeeed this. How did you get this? I will pm you to find out.
And although I am new to this forum (have been lurking a while, waiting for my activation to follow through for a week or so and was using my friends account Bravejamriot in the meantime), I must admit that even though I love PJ a great deal, The Cure is by far my favorite band of all time. And Disintegration is my favorite album of all time. I love and appreciate everything else they do but that album is just something else from beginning to end.
I couldn't agree more!
I've loved the Cure since I was little. I think my favorite album would be Head on the Door,... maybe tied with Disintegration. Goodstuff.

They're really good at writing moody, depressed songs!
I also like how they kind of shun the fame, similar to umm...umm
Child of the '80s as well...ha! Prepared me for PJ.
i have it but don't listen to it that much.

Staring At the Sea, Disintegration, and Wish are favorites...
It's taken me a LONG time to get into Wild Mood Swings - it's on my MP3 player now, and i'm starting to really like some of the songs....
But I haven't bought a Cure album since.... can anyone recommend a newer one to get?

Just for the record, I actually meant SEVENTEEN SECONDS and Disintegration...though Faith is great.
