A Long December....

A long December and there’s reason to believe
Maybe this year will be better than the last
I can’t remember the last thing you said as you were leavin’
Now the days go by so fast

And it’s one more day up in the canyons
And it’s one more night in Hollywood
If you think that I could be forgiven... I wish you would

The smell of hospitals in winter
And the feeling that it’s all a lot of oysters, but no pearls
All at once you look across a crowded room
To see the way that light attaches to a girl

And it’s one more day up in the canyons
And it’s one more night in Hollywood
If you think you might come to California... I think you should

Drove up to the Hillside Manor sometime after two a.m.
And talked a little while about the year
I guess the winter makes you laugh a little slower,
Makes you talk a little lower about the things you could not show her

And it’s been a long December and there’s no reason to believe
Maybe this year will be better than the last
I can’t remember all the times I tried to tell myself
To hold on to these moments as they pass

And it’s one more day up in the canyon
And it’s one more night in Hollywood
It’s been so long since I’ve seen the ocean... I guess I should
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I just listened to it now. Good tune. And it made me think of other songs I like that have a month in the title...

    February Stars - Foo Fighters
Wake me up when September ends - Green Day
November Rain - Guns n' Roses

    What other months are there?

I dunno but if you've not heard Counting Crows' 'August and Everything After,' you should - and everything else they've done.

Oh, well that's another month taken care of. I'll definitely check it out. These are the same guys that sing Mr Jones right?

I don't know anything else by them, but I've had that cd since it came out...it's a great listen to be fair.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

Those are the ones. And like PJ, everything other than their debut is grossly underrated.

That happens to most popular bands. Their debut album/early work is always praised, and the later work is overlooked. And in a lot of cases, it's not warranted.
