  • I am apart of the Tool Army and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I didn't get the best package or anything but it pissed me off when I payed $50 for it and couldn't post anything (you need 300 points to post any new topic on the forum and that takes close to a year to get to if you visit regularly). Plus the news updates are usually nothing special and some are just completly confusing and have NOTHING to do with the band.

The pre-sales are pretty useless to because they have a rule about you have to live within a 45 mile radius from the venue to get access to the presale. Pointless and pretty unfair, especially after spending $50. If you live in a big city that sees alot of big name concerts then go for it because then its worth it. But if you don't (like me as I live near Rochester NY) then it's pretty much impossible to get pre sale tickets.

The best part is there is no annual fee its just pay the $50-90 package prices and that's it you are in forever. The merchandise is also nice and sometimes they have Tool Army exclusive merchandise (like this past X-Mas they had brand new SIGNED Lateralus vinyls on sale for $150).

It's your choice in the end. I go there a few times a week but I dont hang around like I do on this board. It wasn't really worth it for me but in the end all I lost was $50 that I would have probably spent on weed anyways.

It's not like 10c at all... but I did get to chat with Adam and Justin a couple of times....

the band members actually make appearances on their fan site from time to time.

thanks! that means a lot :) and it's for a friend, there's no other band i'm that into to join a club like i do with 10c. she lives within 20 miles of NYC so maybe it'd be worth it for her?
