thanks for the heads up. i went and checked them out at the social last night and was quite entertained. first off, the heathens were a great opener. really got the crowd going. and the avett bros. were really fun. they were intense, manic and irrevrant. loved it. very quixotic. however, i think the only true comparison between them and the drive-by's is they are both good storytellers. i would definitely check them out again. so, thanks for the mention.

The Drive by Truckers wasn't a great comparison.
I've been listening to them a good bit also and saw the thread.
Really stoked you were able to catch the show.
The Avetts albums are great, but they excel live.

The albums are all worth getting.
It does have a live feel to most of the songs.
The albums are great because there are some things they can do with the album that they don't usually do on stage.
