Does anyone know the dresden dolls, if not go check them out.
For some reason especially girls like them, so girls go see and hear Amanda at work in the dresden dolls.

Anyone know them and know of a new album?

    i'm a girl and i like them
    i loved the art in their album booklet. very cool.
    they're coming down here for splendour in july(?)
    they do have a new song out at the moment, so an album shouldn't be too far away. fingers crossed.

    when they came out here they played the annandale hotel. which in my opinion is the best place to see bands in sydney if you really want to experience them.

    It is fine by me, I won't be giving birth any time soon myself.
    It's just that I saw them 3 times and the place was pack with females.

    Awesome band, saw them live opening for NIN and they were gorgeous, loved their covers of Amsterdam and War Pigs, when the gig ended they waited to talk to the fans and sign autographs and all that shit, pretty nice persons, especially Amanda... Listened to the new album, more upbeat than the last, already loving it, my favorite so far is My Alcoholic Friends, but the whole thing rocks... by the way, I'm far from being a girl.

    Yeah I saw them open for NIN last year at the Orpheum in Boston. War Pigs was absolutely intense. I was quite impressed.

    I also saw them live last year supporting NIN.

    I was very unsure about them until I heard them live. I think they opened with Good Day, and I was very impressed. Their cover of War Pigs sealed the deal for me.

    Great band, great live act, and the album The Dresden Dolls is virtually flawless.

    The new album is called Yes Virginia, and is quite good, but not as good as The Dresedn Dolls.

    I heard a couple of songs before I saw them opening for NIN as a few people here and I was completely blown away, simply an amazing live act. The first album is just so good in all senses, composing, performance, etc.
    I am so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month.

    saw them open for NIN as well and frankly I was glad when they got off the stage. War Pigs was indeed fantastic however. I'd give them another listen but not real sure when that would happen.

    Ok thanks for the info, but I want this one for real. The art work is so nice that it's worth the money. Might try finding it if it's too long to wait. but I guess I can handle it.

    I've been familiar with them for a few years now. We were supposed to be on a video game soundtrck with them. I wonder if that ever happened? I'll have to check :)
