"Celebrity"/Message Pit Playlists

I was just reading through some of the celebrity playlists on iTunes and thought it would be a fun idea to see what some of you guys would put on your "celebrity playlist". Basically iTunes has celebrities pick some of their favorite songs and explain why they like them or mean something to them. Lets try to keep it between 10-20 songs and one song per artist. Here's what ive come up with:
1.Beatles- "I Want You (She's So Heavy)- Abbey Road- I considered myself a Beatles fan for a long time, but then when I heard this song I realized the other side of the Beatles that wasnt so poppy.
2.Booker T & The MG's- "Green Onions"- Great instrumental by one of the greatest studio bands of all time.
3.Bruce Springsteen- "Born To Run"- Born to Run-I could have picked a dozen Springsteen songs to put on here, butit always seems to come back to this. Everyone can relate to that feeling of wanting to break out and be free.
4.Fleet Foxes- "White Winter Hymnal- Fleet Foxes-One of my favorite songs of the year. I love the catchy harmonies used in this song.
5.Funkadelic-"Maggot Brain"- Maggot Brain- One of the greatest "guitar songs" of all time.
6.Kings of Leon- "Arizona"- Because of the Times- While I love their dirty, southern side, I find this song to be my favorite from the band.
7.Led Zeppelin- "Fool in the Rain"- In Through the Out Door- Not necessarily my favorite Zeppelin song, but I love the drums in the "Bonham Shuffle" used in this song.
8.MGMT- "Time to Pretend"- Time to Pretend- Accoring to my iTunes this is my most played song from this year. Usually i'm not a big fan of this kind of music, but I love this album and can never get this song out of my head.
9.My Morning Jacket- "Run Thru"- It Still Moves- This song was the most intense concert moment of my life. Absolutely love the breakdown in this song.
10.Neil Young- "Down By The River"- Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere- Couldnt pick a favorite Uncle Neil song, but this made the list. I have great memories of jamming to this in my first so called "band".
11.Outkast- "Chonkyfire" -Aquemini- Hip hop doesnt seem to get enough love in these boards so i had to throw some Outkast on this list. I love when rap incorperates real instruments in songs.
12.Pearl Jam- "Release"- Ten- One of the most emotional vocals i've ever heard.
13.R.E.M.- "Nightswimming"- Automatic For The People- Great end to a great album.
14.Sam Cooke- "A Change Is Gonna Come"- My favorite voice of all time and one of my favorite songs of all time.
15.Sigur Ros- "Staralfur"- Agaetis Byrjun- This is what heaven should sound like.
16.Sly & The Family Stone- "Everyday People"- Stand!- Something about this song always makes me happy.
17.Temple of The Dog-"Say Hello 2 Heaven"-TOTD- Along with "Release", this is one of the most emotional vocals ive ever heard. If only Cornell still sounded like this.
18.Tom Petty- "Even The Losers" - Damn The Torpedoes- Everyone can relate to the line, "Even the losers, get lucky sometime."
19.Tom Waits- "Gun Street Girl- Rain Dogs- Im not a huge Tom Waits fan, but I love the driving beat in this song.
20. Wilson Pickett- "In the Midnight Hour"- I've recently started getting more into old Motown and Stax recording and this is one of my favorites of that time.
WOW. Picking just 20 was harder than I thought. Im looking forward to seeing your picks.

1. Angelspit - 100% -- Down to basics it's just an electro-punk song, but it has tons of attitude and I love it for that.
2. Nena - 99 Red Balloons -- It's just the ultimate innocence song really. Reminds me of candy, jumping, toys and all the other things I liked as a little kid
3. Aha - Take On Me -- I'm going a little 80s here, but still, a great uplifting track, hard to be depressed around this one.
4. Alterbridge - In Loving Memory -- Reminds me of my dog (who is still alive) and makes me think about death in a very sad way, but it helps me remember the good parts and to have many more good parts ahead.
5. Angels and Airwaves - Everything's Magic -- Okay, so it's a teeny bopper song, but it reminds me of good times with my friends.
6. Apoptygma Berzerk - Starsign -- It's just an inexplainably excellent, romantic song despite the intro
7. Ben Harper - In Your Eyes (Cover) -- Live cover of the song, the crowd just come across as so happy to be there. Not raucous or anything, just glad.
8. Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself -- It is a song that makes you want to dance with yourself. And when I say that I don't mean masturbation you sick fucks
9. Chemlab - Vera Blue -- Drug fueled machine rock from the urban pits, 'It's 3:30am and all the streets are a blur'. Excellent.
10. Combichrist - Today I Woke To The Rain of Blood -- If god made a better song to kill to, he kept for himself.
11. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Red White and Blue -- Okay so it was after the crash, but to me this song is like playing them out, they'll always be Red white and Blue.
12. Our Lady Peace - Will The Future Blame Us -- This song is THE song that makes me feel alive. Which is ironic because I'd like it played at my funeral.
13. Stone Temple Pilots - Still Remains -- The ultimate love song. There is absolutely no other song that can explain love as well as this.
14. Stone Temple Pilots - Wonderful -- The sequel to 'Still Remains'. Those fallen in love live happily ever after.
15. Matchbox 20 - Unwell -- A battle with insanity, too true for my life, a sad song.
16. Train - When I look to the sky -- Another love song, I can't explain what this means to me because I don't know myself. But it's great.
