  • hard to imagine what kind of music they'd be doing right now if he was still alive. i'd heard that there were wants to heading in a more 'beatles-esque/pop' sound after in utero.

If You Know You're Right was any kind of clue as to the route they were headed then Beatles-esque probably wouldn't have been it! But I could be way off. Who knows with Kurt? ;)

Have to agree with you I think the Beatles esque phase was over with Nevermind and the Butch Vig production influence.

  • I almost forgot about his birthday today... time goes by so fast. Happy Birthday Kurt. I'll always love you and still think of you often. I only began listening to Pearl Jam after Kurt died, so Nirvana will always be special to me. It's a terrible shame he never survived that ugly, dark period in his life. I hate drugs... and Courtney.

I thought Kurt Loder was older than that. Live and learn.

yeah, I still wonder what kind of direction
Nirvana would have gone to if he was still around.
Would Dave quit to form Foo Fighters, would Kurt go solo or continue Nirvana with Krist, so many question that will not be answered.

    Beautiful thread.

I've had the Nirvana in heavy rotation & he has been in my thoughts constantly. Not that either of those things are unusual occurrences for me but still...

As pearljamgirl07 said, "I'll miss you for the rest of my life". Exactly. :( I'll miss/love you always Kurt. A tortured but remarkably talented and genuine soul that drastically changed my life. I can't imagine a musical world without him and luckily dont have to! I'm so beyond grateful for all that he shared, created and inspired during his short but powerful existence.

41? I seriously cannot believe how time just keeps on going. It's been this long already????? *sigh*

    Skin the sun
    Fall asleep
    Wish away
    The soul is cheap
    Lesson learned
    Wish me luck
    Soothe the burn
    Wake me up

    Your voice/power forever lives on!
