funny that my favorite songs are the ones that peter and ace sing: Hard Luck Woman and Shock Me being my 2 favorites.
Also love Talk To Me, Rocket Ride, Black Diamond, Mainline, 2 Sides of the Coin, 2000 Man, New York Groove
And Ace wrote Parasite and Cold Gin, two more of my favorites...
And I agree that Hard Luck Woman is a freakin' great song, maybe one of the most emotional that Kiss ever recorded.

Nice to see an Unmasked reference. I've been playing that disc for the past 2 weeks.

I do love KISS though... they make me happy
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
Garth actually did the song justice on the Kiss My Ass tribute CD.

you know, i agree, but then again, he didn't do anything really unique to it either... i just mean that he basically sang the song. compared to kravitz's deuce or detroit rock city by the bosstones... i like it when there's a bit more of the cover artist sprinkled into an existing good song. garth didn't do that, although he certainly didn't butcher the song either, which can happen when you try to regroove something. basically, garth played it safe. surprise, surprise...
There were a lot of bands that simply remade songs on that album...although Lenny and Toad The Wet Sprocket were standouts.
Garth took a chance a few years later with the Chris Gains project...I guess he's better off playing it safe.
