Nah, he can buy a seat just like anybody else.

His 10C# can't be better than mine, so I won't have to worry about that silly cowboy hat in my way.

and if it was, you'd probably still sit two rows in front of him at a Birmingham show ;)

Rhino- have you bought your tickets to the Roo yet?

Damn straight. Call it 10C preference!

You know, I have almost exhausted all of the possibilities for free/discounted passes. The most recent one fell through over the weekend.

I'm starting a new job this month and just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I keep second-guessing myself over Bonnaroo because I don't want us to commit nearly $1K only to have PJ announce a tour of the south later. We could see 4 (or more) Pearl Jam concerts for the price of a weekend @ 'Roo.

Yeah, I'm sorry, no offense to Bonnaroo at all but if I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'd rather go back to the Gorge. Not that they've confirmed a DAMNED thing there, either (imagine that????) We'll probably all get screwed again but I hope not...........Still, I would rather have spent the money for Lolla than Bonnaroo. It's just too difficult. I'm holding out for a REAL SOUTHERN TOUR AFTER FIVE PLUS YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

he may, but I was just talking about the b-ham 98 show that Rhino and I both attended. I have a slightly better 10C # than Rhino, but some how he ended up in the front row and I was in the 3rd row :)

Hey gang--this entry marks post #5000 for me on the Message Pit. I don't have groundbreaking news or anything supremely profound to share, but I do want to use this post in this thread to say that I have ALWAYS experienced my Pearl Jam concerts in the South. And PJ have ALWAYS been the most fun and enjoyable way I could spend my concert dollars and concert energy:

    March 25, 1994 -- Memphis, TN
    September 17, 1995 -- New Orleans, LA
    October 7, 1996 -- Ft. Lauderdale, FL
    September 1, 1998 -- Atlanta, GA
    September 3, 1998 -- Birmingham, AL
    August 14, 2000 -- New Orleans, LA
    April 13, 2003 -- Tampa, FL
    October 8, 2004 -- Kissimmee, FL

In those concerts, I've experienced Elvis covers, Joey Ramone, Ben Harper, and Sonic Youth on-stage w/ PJ, Satan's Bed played as a "dance number", two Baba's, three drummers, four sets of Ten Club tickets, No Way (!), Ed presets, and countless other fun moments. This does not even begin to include all the pre-show fun and great people I've met.

Thanks to Pearl Jam and my fellow fans in the South for making those eight memorable nights. Here's to many, many more in our future together!

Tour the South like you used to, Pearl Jam!
