dangerboy wrote:hey, there was a thread a day or two ago about radiohead playing the south, and it generated some comments that lead into the old explanation from some of us that the legs of the last tour were announced in such a way that we didn't realize until it was too late...anyway, i was one of them, but now the thread seems to have been deleted. it hadn't turned nasty when i posted (although if i remember correctly the thread title was something like "radiohead playing the south so fuck pj", which might have gotten the thread deleted all by itself), so i was sondering if anyone else saw it and if the thread got ugly or something?

I read this thread every day or so and I never saw this so it must have been deleted....I do remember reading one brief post about Radiohead playing but nothing else, nothing nasty. Hmmmmmmmm.

Didn't realize this thread existed, but PJ not coming down yonder has been my only gripe about them ever. I'm ready to see them 3-4 times if they come anywhere near the bible belt... =("When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro"0

Did anyone else get the solicitious "greeting from Tenclub" email including the blurb:
"Happy New Year!
We're all really excited about 2008 and we really hope you are, too. While it's still too early to make any big announcements, we want to let you all know that the band is looking forward to a busy year..."
Dare we hope?

So this PJ cover (tribute) band called EvenFlow played in Cola last night. At the last minute I decided to go......I caught the last song by the Black Sabbath cover band so I was right on time. It was really strange. It started out with everybody being kind of cautious, but the more they played the more we got into it. Then all of a sudden I started feeling like something wasn't right, I almost felt dirty..........so I left. I'm sure that doesn't make sense but it's true.
I thought I could at least meet some fellow fans and I did talk to a few. One of them, however, thought I was "Stone's" mother!! It wasn't Stone of course, but he was way too old to be my son (at least I think!). Oddly enough, out of 5-6 people I spoke with only ONE of them knew about Ten Club. He was photographing the band and he said he wasn't a member BECAUSE THEY DON'T PLAY AROUND HERE ENOUGH but his girlfriend is a member. I don't know, I just really felt strange after it all.......
