i asked for clarification on "they". i said "the band"? he said "yeah". on the other hand, the stuff that's important to us isn't as important to these people. he was talking to a buddy on the phone,about non-pearl jam stuff for the most part, as you would talk to a friend of yours that you shared a career with. there might be some skip-through-it kinda work chat, but it's a small part of the conversation and not one that they get into deeply. the friend probably said something like "we've been in rehearsals all week", and my guy did the math in his head that it was the whole band and didn't bother with asking who exactly was in those rehearsals. and it's hard to ask someone to alter a personal conversation to suit your own needs. my friend is a guy i've known for over 25 years, but it's kinda awkward to press him too hard, and i don't want to ask him to press other friends of his who I don't know, if you see what i mean.

plus, there have been times when i've given him info he wasn't aware of, and he has taken it upon himself to ask the questions. i've had him get back to me after a couple of days about something i never asked him to ask about....

EV ought to be rehearsing - one hopes. Like learning his lines. The White Sox song at the Vic should have been an eye opener. Isn't it mind boggling how many songs he probably knows most of the words to?

Feel better, LF! I didn't feel so well on Thursday and Friday either, but it's thankfully passed me by. If you have the energy you might try to go outside a get a little Florida sunshine. It may not cure you, but it's certainly not going to worsen your condition.

Perhaps we'll get that meet-up someday sooner than Bonnaroo (once you feel better).

Not too bad... car runs but is ugly now. House structure ok - a lot of junk burned which I hauled off to the trash. Just realized how lucky we are in so many ways. (what if, what if, what if...) and how BADLY I reacted to the emergency. I was a freak...

but just showered and lost the smoky smell... learned a lot of lessons.
