The drug aspect is a huge problem for me....sorry folks, but I can't stand being around weed and those smoking it. Plain old tobacco is bad enough for me. Being around either effects my health in a very negative fashion.

Being around a bunch of young kids who can't handle their alcohol is another serious downer. I could not stand it when I was a young kid, and my stance towards it hasn't changed as I have morphed into an old dude.

Going to a concert is about the music...pure and simple. I have found it difficult to enjoy the music while being pushed on all sides by drunk and/or stoned people, getting arms swung back in my face, burned by some asshole's cigarette, having noxious smoke blown in my face, listening to morons talk about their moronic lives at a volume to compete with the music, getting puked on by the stoner's girlfriend and avoiding frat boy fights.

im sorry but i find this to be funnier than all fucking hell.....

for 2 years you and tybird have been begging and pleading for a southern tour.....

now pearl jam may announce a show for tennessee in june.....

and neither you or tybird are going to go?????

and according to you .....bonnaroo is a festival show that doesnt count????

one festival show in tennessee with an extra 80,000 people there to see other bands and with no fan club tickets is not "playing the south". what if the only within 400 miles of chicago in the last 4 years was lollapalooza? you think people would be satisfied with that? people from minnesota to new york? what about the whiners who weren't satisfied with 8 shows within a couple hours drive of nyc, and petitioned for an msg show? was that funny?

Don't even waste your time or breath on this guy. PJ understands that they cheated us out of a bunch of good shows during their last tour and THEY WILL make it up to us. Anyone in their right mind knows that one festival in the south can not make up for that. I have a good feeling that they will include some Southern dates on their next tour- and they will be worth the wait.

Besides, my husband is on a liver transplant list and we cannot leave the state for a while...and I won't go away without him now. Life is too fucking precious.

$200 for a book with pictures of posters is steep....

$200 for 4 days of music is reasonable.....

    just my opinion....

I agree, I'm going to see PJ, but I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of other music as well.

Have they announced the ACL line-up yet?

No doubt. Not sure why people look at it like it's $200 to see PJ. I can't see many people buying a 4 day ticket to see one band. Then again if Roo's the only date maybe some will.
  • LukinFan wrote:

feck no. lol. they just want thier money 9 months in advanced. but when you live in the city, you go no matter who plays.

you are right dude, but I am sure PJ along with a few other bands will be the only bands I'm gonna want to see, unless of course Zepp and Tallica end up playing, then I will gladly shell out the $200
