    the first garbage album showed alot of promise. shame about the following 3. other than that i'd have to say destiny's child, atomic kitten & the mouseketeers (before britney & christina got too big for their boots)

    Plus the usual suspects already mentioned such as Heart, Fleetwood Mac, The Pretenders, Heart and Jefferson Airplane (Grace Slick has a powerful voice), The Cranberries, etc.
