June 1st, my PJ drought begins...

Figure it would give me a nice 3 week break from the band, and create a huge build up until I see them at MSG 1 & 2.

Anyone else like to take "breaks" before they see them in concert?

    i like going to concerts without hearing the band for a few weeks before. seems to make the experience a little better.

    Yeah, I'm with you. I'll go on a drought for up till 2 weeks before the show, and then I only listen to PJ.

    yup i'm with you bro. I try like hell every time, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I'm shooting for a June 1 blackout until the day of the tampa show . . . it will be tough but i'm going to try

    I don't even remember the last time I listened to Pearl Jam.. I know I listened to Into the Wild last week if that counts..

    Can only take so much of a good thing. There's other music out there. My mind needs new music to challenge it. This is why I much prefer new Pearl Jam albums over tours.. been there, done that. Where's the NEW soundtrack to my life?

    i'm with you 100%. it seems like a lot of fans on this board are afraid to admit what you just admitted. they think it makes them less of a fan if they get tired or just get overloaded with PJ for a month.

    there is a ton of other music out there, and like you said... your mind craves that stuff!

    Mmm... I'm for the "do what you feel"...

    I've been listening to PJ ONLY for the past month, every day, all day long. Big random play of all the albums, plus bootlegs, etc...

    I'm taking a break right now, ready to restart anytime my ears will need to.
    And ready for MSG I and II
    Makes me ache, makes me shake...

    I haven't seen the band for a while, but I like to listen a fair amount of an artist before seeing them live. You wouldn't stop working out for a few months before a huge game would you?

    my drought comes after the show. Been looping all albums and covers on a costant basis now for about 2 months (in the car) Soundgarden is my gym music

    so the search begins...

    I've been listening to nothing but PJ since the tickets went on sale. :D
