He finished up with The Beatles 'A Day In The Life'. It was great. He also played 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere', great set. Uncle Neil has still got it.
It was broadcast on this music channel I get with Digital Satellite TV.

I was there...great time...haven't seen him before and thought he sounded pretty good.
  • yeah, it was great. seemed that neil and the boys were a bit rusty, but they were having a great time up there. nice ending too!

in related news, carson daly is a fucking MORON.

Yeh, did you hear Carson Daly say that Neil would be putting his beloved old black Les Paul on Ebay. He would not part with that guitar for millions.
And is it just me, or has Willie Nelson just lost it. He just seems to talk the words to his songs.
  • Not to hate on anyones opinion here (I respect it) but I didn't think it was a good performance at all. It might have sounded awesome there, but on tv, it kind of sucked.

I was there and thought it was a strong performance - my favorite Neil set I've seen so far at Farm Aid (it was my fifth one).
You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.
