Rage Against the Machine are counting down to … something. This mysterious Web site has appeared, it features two clocks, one counting down to some kind of announcement to be made five days from now, and another counting down to August 24th of this year. The site is registered to Live Nation, which suggests that the band may soon announce a major tour. More details to come …

    I say in 5 days they announce a new album and/or tour dates...and august 24th is the date of the album release

    I kind of hope they announce tour dates in 5 days because I would rather see a RATM show rather than the rock the bells show I'm going to just for them which was 100$

    someone on the Zack board suggested that August 24th is the date of a show. Just a single show.

    A big countdown to a single show would be lame. I think it's a tour. I'd be a bit concerned if they just regroups about a couple of months ago and already have written an entire new album. I'd think they would need a year or so. Just my thoughts.

    If they are doing a full tour I would hope they're attempting to write some new material. The one-off reunion shows are nice but if they're gonna be going out and doing this on a regular basis I'd like to see they're making an effort at staying creative.

    This is what I'm guessing...

    In the next five days they will announce their real tour (No festivals).

    I have a feeling the mysterious date will probably be the kick off show starting of the new tour. I'm seeing Tommy boy as the Nightwatchman in three weeks and I know he sometimes hangs around after shows. I'll be sure to ask him some questions.

    But for now...I AM KEEPING MY FUCKING FINGERS CROSSED THAT THEY TOUR!

    Now that Audioslave is done, what else are the boys suppost to do?

    No way that they would hype up one show like that. It's got to be more. I agree with what's been said before that it's the announcement of a proper tour starting the 24th.

    that would be utterly cool. although i would've skipped the 'rock the bells' gig in favor of a full out rage show, but whatthefuckever....i'd definitely go for another show!
