Favourite Beatles Album?

My personal favourite is Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band.Just listening to this album now and what can I say?Absolutely amazing. When I bought it about 8 months ago I listened to it a couple of times and am now completely in love with it.Hard to believe Oasis' Definitely Maybe was voted better than it.

So what's everyone's absolute fave?
It may be the devil or it may be the Lord

    Rubber Soul, man, Rubber Soul.

The thing about Sgt. Pepper's that bugs me is that there's just too many Paul songs that are slow and kind of boring (she's leaving home, fixing a hole)

in my opinion that was when the beatles became complete.

i also think let it be is possibly underrated

    White Album

and I believe it was Whats the Story Morning Glory that was voted better than Sgt Peppers, which I might, MIGHT, agree with as I think Sgt Peppers is a bit overrated.
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

Sgt peppers for me. Pretty much a perfect listen. Revolver is a close second.

Huh. I'm a sucker for psychedelia, so...

    Magical Mystery Tour.

The later is stuff is all great, though. Anything John did really does me.

Became complete? This was the beginning of the end. However, it is amazing that 4 guys could all bring their own very different sounding material to the board, and put it together in a way to make a cohesive double album.

Picking your favorite Beatles' album is like trying to pick your favorite child. That being said, I would say Rubber Soul (I hope Abbey Road never finds out though :) )

I'm a huge Beatles fan and I love all the albums. Just like PJ albums it changes a lot which is my favorite. Right now its close between Help! and Rubber Soul.

Seriously. I have learned not to choose what Beatles album I liked best. Trust me, it will change consistently. For a period of time I have said that Revolver was my favorite, then changed my mind to Rubber Soul, then back to Revolver, then Abby Road...So I feel that it's pretty much impossible. Alot of times it has to do with how your feeling or where/how your life is going. For the most part, your favorite albums will be in a rotation. It's the same thing for me when it comes to PJ. I'm always telling people when they ask, that No Code is my favorite then of course change my mind to Binaural a few months later. It's always gonna change.
  • Its gotta be Revolver.... pure beauty
  • :DAll of them.:D Especially the ones including and after Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Someone said White Album and Let it Be (the latter being underated).

I agree, my absolute favourites have got to be those last three albums: Let It Be, White Album and Abbey Road.

Those are my favourites; they are quite special, raw, yet elaborate and mature.

(By the way, if anyone is into Prog rock, this band Transatlantic does a pretty cool half hour cover medley of songs from Abbey Road; strongly recommended)
