DMB Alpine Valley

Will anyone be attending this show this weekend? I'm going to both nights it would be nice to see some fellow Jamily members there.

    I went last year. I'm definately not a Dave Matthews fan, but the show was ok... if your over the age of 20, expect to be the oldest person there. Its one big frat party. You'll also be out of place without a beer bong so bring lots of bud-light. :rolleyes:

    ~ and just fyi ~ be ready to get some nasty shit talked about DMB now..... for some reason, i have found that alot of PJ fans hate DMB... but never really have a *reason*...

    I actually enjoy alot of their music, but the fans tend to irritate me.. i did however get alot of compliments from cute girls when I wore my pearl jam t-shirt to it last summer! :D

    i can totally understand/appreciate that. and i agree w/ it too. but... Pearl Jam has fans that are really annoying & can ruin shows too... i would say every band tends to have its annoying fans..... but... alot of DMB's fans are young, drunk, college students...... i always just try my best to ignore & have fun!

    when I went last summer I had no ticket and had no plans on going in, just chillin' in the parking lot. I was on vacation with friends at a lakehouse that weekend and had nothing better to do that night they were going.. as it turns out, I bought a ticket from the boyfriend of a girl who got drunk and passed out before the show started. Sadly, alot of people were too drunk too make it into the damn show.. kind of funny. I had a good time. :D

    haha! that is kinda funny. i bet you did have fun.

    they are scheduled to play in Cincy on my due date.... i dont think i should risk it! .... that is ... unless ~ baby decides to make an early appearance!...which i'm hoping for... but not *too* early! :)

    Dave's The Man and DMB puts on a Great show! As with any other concert, you'll always have to deal with the drunks, just don't get PUKED on (seems that thread happens a lot here). Only happened to me once, and I was at an 80's Hair Metal Concert. I'm seeing DMB here for 2 nights in September.

    This is my sixth dave show I went to night to last year at alpine im going both nights this year. About a month ago I went to both nights at Noblesville I had a great time.

    Have a great time, I'm sure you will. DMB is an amazing band, and Alpine Valley is definitly one of "the" places to see them. People live for those shows, and Dave loves that venue more than most places, so he always makes sure the shows are great there. This tour is looking good, too, not too much Stand Up/Everyday, and they're playing all their good stuff.

    The DMB fans annoy me, but the music is good. The fans just think that DMB is the greatest thing, but have no respect for any other good music. Everyone at my school loves DMB, but they laugh at me when I told them my favorite band is Pearl Jam. Well, most didn't know who they were. Some of them have even asked me who the Grateful Dead were - and the others make fun of me for being a Deadhead. However, they "ALL LOVE DAVE!!!".

    They put on one hell of a show, but after seeing Pearl Jam last weekend, it doesn't even remotely compare. It's not even in the same ballpark.
