Yes, for as scripted as it is, it is stil awesome. You will be humbled. Everything else aside you are seeing a man who is the definition of "Living Legend." That is very cool in itself.

  • i saw him and it was one of those things where the show itself wasn't the best, but just to see a living legend makes it all worth it.

We saw him twice back in the 80's. Both were very good shows. He's just very sincere and talented with "Lucille". :D I've heard he still puts on quite a good show. Hope you enjoy. :)

Yes, BB puts on a great show. The guy is 81 and can still wail his ass off on the guitar. I saw him at an Oklahoma casino ln Feb 2006. I had a lot of trouble making a setlist, as the band kept playing in between songs as BB would tell stories to transition into the songs. I do remember him playing "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine (not sure if he wrote this or not), "Nobody loves me but my mother," "the thrill is gone", and "when love comes to town" We waited 3 hour to try and meet him, (security kept telling us we would) but no cigar.

I've seen him 3 times, the most recently being last summer. The show last summer was actually the best out of the 3 I've seen. He's every bit as good on the guitar now as he was when he cut Live at the Regal. His voice was still impressive too.

That pretty much describes the setlist that he played for us.

I got to see him many years ago on one of his Bluesfest Tours...seeing him and Buddy Guy on the same night is definitely a lifetime highlight! Great shows by both.

apparently he plays pretty much the setlist every night and has been for years but who cares-it's still an awesome show, and the guy's 81! I saw him last year( I was one of the only kids there) and I was just thrilled to be able to see such a legend. It was a great show and he's a very funny guy when he tells his stories.
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

Every year I say "Gotta see him this year because he's not going to be around much longer!" but he's still out there tearing it up. I really hope I get the chance soon. The first time I heard Sweet Little Angel it brought tears to my eyes.. Oh that voice!
