There's the moon asking to stay
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
Well it's my time coming, i'm not afraid to die
My fading voice sings of love,
But she cries to the clicking of time
Of time
Wait in the fire...
And she weeps on my arm
Walking to the bright lights in sorrow
Oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow
Oh my love
And the rain is falling and i believe
My time has come
It reminds me of the pain
I might leave
Leave behind
Wait in the fire...
And I feel them drown my name
So easy to know and forget with this kiss
I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow
“Life is life everywhere. Life is in ourselves and not outside us. There will be men beside me, and the important thing is to be a man among men and to remain a man always, whatever the misfortunes, not to despair and not to fall - that is the aim of life, that is its purpose.”
Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Damn, I still gotta go buy Grace. It's been on my 'todo' list forever.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
I still can't actually believe he's gone...bit sad to say but i really can't. I only got into his music about 2 years ago, but when i first found out he was dead i just refused to believe it...and i still do...R.I.P Angel
The Mumma came home last week and announced that it had been 10 years since Jeff Buckley died! She'd read about the anniversary on the front page of one of the free papers here. Never mind that she didn't know who Jeff was until about 6 months ago.
"I like him, don't I?" was the question.
"Yes mum, he sings Hallelujah."
"Oh that's right! I knew I like him! I was so engrossed in the story about him that I nearly missed my station. (she was travelling home on the train at the time.) "He drowned you know." hehe! Don't you just love parents?
Anyway, here's our favorite Jeff moment. And I'm thinking it must be time for me to go out and by the anniversary release. You know, to educate the Mumma a bit more.
RIP Jeff, and thanks for all the great music.
