I need information on a Chicago punk band from the 70's calledThe Ruin

I was talking about music with my english teacher a few months ago and he said he was the singer in a punk band during the 70's. They were from Chicago. He said they were called different names depending on where they were touring: The Ruin, Rune, The Ruined, or Ruined. He also said he was one of the first people to use "primal screaming" in music. Any information on this band would be greately appreciated.
