Just thought I would throw that out there, as they are in my opinion vastly under rated. Kevin Martin is a great singer and some of the solos in Candlebox tunes are off the hook. Great band, can't wait for their new album and I hope they eventually make it over here to the UK!

That is all. :)

Really all of Candlebox's albums are pretty solid. The self titled is the best (their debut with you and far behind) and then I like "Happy pills" second best. "Lucy" was not a bad record, just didn't dig it as much as the other two. I'd love to see candlebox live, hopefully they tour again soon this year, I missed them in 2006 or was it 07?

I saw them this past summer in Pittsburgh for free. They played at Station Square and it was a pretty good show.

the self title is total ownage

  • They've got some solid material. I like them. Happy Pills is probably the weakest effort for me, though. But even that's good.

  • Candlebox kicks ass. Kevin Martin is an amazing singer. Go out and get Kevin Martin and the hiwatts his solo record, is as good as anything, Candlebox has ever done.

I used to like Candlebox. Their self-titled debut album was good, but their follow-up Lucy was very disappointing. Never listened to Happy Pills.

For those looking forward to seeing them live, don't get your hopes up too high. They totally sucked in concert. They were almost as bland and boring as Tool when I saw them.

when did you see them? I saw them at the showbox last year and it was pretty crazy...kevin sings waaaay better than he did back in the day studio or live.

I saw them near Windsor, Ontario last year. They sucked, as did the opening act. It seemed so lifeless compared to concerts by other bands/acts I grew up listening to in the early-to-mid 1990s: Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains and Chris Cornell, to name a few. The only good thing about the Candlebox concert was that it was free. Still, I cannot believe I missed a Stanley Cup Finals game for that shit.
  • Ur very wrong. Candlebox is great in concert go check them out.

Having seen hundreds of concerts, I think I am well-qualified to state my opinion. Relative to most bands I have seen, Candlebox is rather dull in concert.

oh ok...fair enough...I thought maybe you saw them way back in the day (they were very hit and miss) I guess the small hometown atmosphere probably added a lot to the show

I love Candlebox, all 3 albums are great if you ask me, but it was Lucy that made me like them! Hopefully they come to Middle Europe sometime!
