Could this song be any more perfect?

Jar of Flies is amazing - but I felt this song deserved it's own thread. One of my fave tunes of all time - who loves Nutshell?

I FUCKING love this song. The one two punch (Rotten Apple -> Nutshell) is such a bitch slap. Perfect song. Love playing the bass for it while my friend completely rocks the fuck out to it! Think I need to put on Jar of Flies now :)

I'm gonna let Facelift finish first, but definitely next :D I hope they play both Rotten Apple and Nutshell in DC and/or Baltimore. Thank God these songs are getting some live time now :D

Poor Layne :( Such a waste of talent due to drugs...

Ah... Nutshell :) What a brilliant song.
    Awesome opener at Unplugged!

Nutshell is easily one of my favorite AIC songs and a damn easy one to play on the acoustic guitar!

I especially love how they did it on MTV's Unplugged where Jerry Cantrell walked out solo and played those haunting chords over and over while each member took the stage one by one. Amazing!

I gotta jam this one now...
    Rock on!

  • Nutshell = Perfection.

On a related note, my iTunes just brought out Vulgar Before Me by Candlebox when I stuck it on shuffle, which is also a beautiful tune. :)

This is an awesome song. I can listen to it on repeat for hours.

But then I can do that with the whole of Jar Of Flies too.

Brilliant EP. "Beautifully dark" as critics call it...I just call it a masterpiece.

Yeah PERFECT really is the word in this songs' case. Everything about it gives me the chills. Definitely one of my favourites.
  • When I went to see them last month in london, I was pretty gutted that they didn't play nutshell, and real thing.

Why would AIC allow Sebastian "Savage Animal" Bach to sing on stage w/ them, he's a parody of a parody of a parody...

When I first heard this song I put it on repeat and listened to it for 45 minutes. Definitely in my top 2 songs of all time. The solo on the studio version is so beautiful. Jerry's lead sounds like Layne... it's unreal

Like everyone else has said, a perfect song. That ep is fucking amazing every time i listen to it. Put it on a couple days ago and couldn't believe how good it was. It really is a shame that layne was taken so young. damn i love aic.
