"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Question about Last FM:
does it have anything to do with stealing music?
This might seem like a dumb question but I live on Campus at Michigan State University and they will catch me and I will be fined if it is. I don't want to sign up if it is so.
My general understanding is its just like the Radio but its other peoples play list?
Thanks for the help in advance.

It's legal. If you choose to you can listen to their radio (the music is licensed to the site from the record labels themselves), or you can just play the music you own in order to rack up statistics. On occasion you'll come across a song or two that can be downloaded (legally), but most of the music is only streamable.
