Should I Go See Moe Tomorrow Night?

Moe is playing in Myrtle Beach tomorrow night (6/19) at House of Blues and I'm thinking about checking them out. I'm not really familiar with their stuff and would like some input on their live shows. We're staying at a condo that's less than 10 minutes from the venue so it's very convenient if we decide to go. Who would you guys compare them to? Should we go see them? Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I don't know about the band. Having said that, I think it's ALWAYS worth goin to a show! IF you can swing it.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

moe is defenitely worth checking out if you like jambands. There lots of fun and the crowd is usually very kind.
    Allman bros/phishy kinda sounding.
dl a rebubala from the LMA and youll get a pretty good idea.
The bass player rob is phenominal.
You should really hope they bust a Mexico out on you if you go.
Im a million miles away from home and I cant find a telephone...

Do yourself a favor and go!!! Although their shows down south aren't as crazy as up in the northeast (they usually sell out their venues up here and bring the heat), they are still very, very, good. If you like jambands, you will definetly love them. Two guitars, a insane bass player, drummer, and percussionist. They will play a couple longer jams, but also a couple shorter songs. After their annual fest moe.down on labor day, they are taking a break until sometime in 2009, so definetly check them out, they are on fire this tour. I'll be seeing them twice in july, then attending their fest (just missed the two shows at the saranac brewery because of a lack of $$).
  • I have seen them a bunch of times and they are great. Cool jam band...reminds me of Phish or Allman bro's a bit...lots of good stuff and fun crowd typically. They are from Upstate NY where I am from and have "Moe Down" every summer which is a great time.... It's a Good time!

Thanks to everyone for the input. The wife and I are going to check them out for sure now. The show is at 6:30 and it's billed as An Evening With Moe. I called to get tickets and they said they have over 1,000 left so we're just going to grab them at the door. I'll post a review either tonight or tomorrow.

I'll be there, it'll be my 4th time. We should def. meet up and set up a PJ campsite. Also, assuming they do it again, I'll be at the breakfast pre-moe.down throw down party in utica

if anybody doens't know the breakfast, go get some of their music, one of the greatest "under the radar bands" out there.

The show last night was a lot of fun. I didn't recognize any of the songs but the extended jams were solid. Good vibe throughout the crowd. They played 2 sets of about 90 minutes each. The wife got a bit bored toward the end of the show and we ended up leaving about 30 minutes early. Jam bands aren't exactly my thing but it was worth giving a shot. Overall, I'm glad we went.

looking at the setlist it looks like the 2nd set had alot more "extended" jam songs, where I can see people getting bored of it if it is not their cup of tea. Too bad you left before Rebubula, that always get's the crowd fired up. Glad you had a good time.
